Reporting Assesment
Keeping parents informed about their child's progress and achievement is very important. School House Canada believes that parents should be aware of the subject area content that their child is expected to cover in an academic year. They should also be aware of the instructional grade level that their child is working at and, most importantly, they should be aware of and involved in the action plan that has been developed to address their child's instructional needs. However, the parents aren't the only ones that should know this information. It is imperative that students are also an integral part of the reporting and planning process. Consequently, School House Canada provides weekly "growth" meetings with the students and regular reporting and development meeting with the parents and students.
Evaluation is recognized as a comprehensive, systematic, and purposeful process that is an
integral part of teaching and learning. Evaluation procedures must be based on the
prescribed learning outcomes and evolve from the instructional strategies implemented to
realize these outcomes. They must also enable a teacher to provide an accurate, reliable,
and justifiable evaluation which reflects students' progress and achievement
