What is an intervention

An intervention is an action taken to improve a situation. If a student has been  taught a skill, followed the model and completed all the sample questions and still does not grasp the skill or concept being taught, an intervention may be required.

Kinds of interventions

or zoomThere are several kinds of interventions that a student may access. If a student has encountered a roadblock, he or she can use the immediate resources around him or her.
Parents, Uncles, Aunts, Friends
Parents can be an excellent resource person. If the parents are capable of answering the child's questions, they should make every attempt to do so. If they cannot answer the child's question, they can go through our sample material, learn the skill or concept themselves and then reteach it to their son or daughter.
Older Siblings
Older siblings have probably already gone through this material recently and can teach it to their younger sibling. This can act as a good review for the older sibling and a good way to reinforce sibling bonding.
School House Teacher
Your child's School House Canada teacher is always available for a remediation.  Unfortunately, this is an added service and is not included in your modest enrollment fee. Our intervention can be done one-on-one via facetime or a similar program. The intervention must be booked through our office and will be provided within 24 hours of the request. A facetime intervention is booked for increments of 15 minutes. The rate is $1.00 per minute using facetime technology or $75.00 for a one hour in-home intervention.
